Hi! I’m Lauren. I am a seasoned educator who has worked in public and private schools for the last 15 years. My expertise in personalized learning has made me a sought-after educational consultant and coach. I focus on meeting learners (students, teachers, admin, etc) where they are and helping them to reignite their desire to learn - take risks, explore, and play. In my work as a coach and consultant, my methods are rooted in transformational coaching. I use a client’s values and strengths as the guide for our work. I utilize my knowledge of adult learning when incorporating reflective practices, setting and scaffolding goals, conducting observations, facilitating feedback protocols, and/or modeling teaching strategies or practices.

I served as the founding middle school humanities teacher at Khan Lab School, Khan Academy’s school in Silicon Valley, California. There, I built the humanities curriculum with a focus on project-based and concept-based learning. Most recently I served as the Extended Learning Opportunities Coordinator at Winnisquam Regional High School in Tilton, NH where I re-designed the program from the ground up, engaging learners from 9th-12th grade in year-long projects that were student-centered, career-focused, and community driven. The engagement from students and depth of the ELO program grew during my time at Winnisquam. I built lasting partnerships with community members and businesses in order to build meaningful and purposeful connections between student, school, and community.

I achieved my BA in English Teaching at the Secondary Level from the University of New Hampshire in Durham (go Wildcats!), and hold a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Vermont in Burlington (go Catamounts!). I am also a licensed Teen/Tween Yoga and Mindfulness Instructor from Childlight Yoga. My teaching experiences and career have taken me around the globe, including a teaching partnership with Blockhouse Bay Intermediate in Auckland, New Zealand.
