MISSION
To re-spark JOY in teaching and learning. By meeting learners (teachers, students, professionals) where they are, and using reflective, strengths-based, transformative strategies I help get them to where they want to be.
Define and reignite each client’s fire.
Build bridges by using goals, goal setting, and client values as our compass.
Unblock pathways by identifying strengths.
Grant every client the gift of pause through reflective practices, mindfulness, gratitude and the like.
Label and recognize where joy is and where joy hides.
Identify and develop one’s eco-system (what is your healthy habitat - your outside environment) vs the ego-system (the habitat you’ve created in yourself - your stories, your definition of you)
Create. Integrate. Recalibrate. Celebrate.

The Meaning Behind Middle warrior
Middle Warrior started as a note in my phone in 2017. I had just returned from a yoga retreat and the idea of teaching teen yoga felt like a beautiful bridge between what I was already doing (teaching middle school humanities) and what I wanted to start sharing.
The name, “Middle Warrior” is an intersection of many important aspects of who I am. I’ve been practicing yoga since 2008 and the posture, “Warrior 2”, has always been a favorite to hold, flow into, or practice. It always makes me feel grounded, strong, and focused. The number 2 is in the middle of 1 and 3, just like me; I’m the middle child in my family. My teaching at the time of this idea was with middle schoolers, so that word “middle” felt lasting and important. I thought, why not “Middle Warrior”? Blending a word that seems to be ever-apparent in my life, and a shape in a practice that I’m a life-long learner in. The name stuck and not seeing myself exit out of the classroom anytime soon, I started drafting up my plan to become a certified teen yoga and mindfulness instructor, and creating a little side business. I wanted to help youth connect with their hearts, minds, and body. I wanted to help students reach their goals by teaching and coaching them strategies on how to handle stress without a screen. What we practice on the mat, we can practice in life. When we set a goal, our heart, mind, and body need to be in line in order to successfully get to the finish line and even at the end, it’s usually not the end - lifelong learning, lifelong practice.
This business idea quickly flourished after moving up to the New Hampshire mountains and deciding to make a change in my career. I was ready to step out of the classroom and help teachers, something I learned I loved doing through the fantastic number of teams I worked with over the course of my 15 years as a classroom teacher. I took a part-time role as a faculty member at a local high school, so that I could start to let this business idea steep and grow. After 2 years of part-time work as an Extended Learning Coordinator and coaching part-time, ideas started to boil, and I started consulting as well … here we are, now.
I believe that we’re all Middle Warriors. We’re all in the in-between, persevering, progressing, and making steps towards where we want to be. No matter what phase of life we’re in.
What I am to do at Middle Warrior is to work with learners of any age to get from where they are, to where they want to be - build bridges. Through Coaching this comes in the form of working with teachers and leaders on developed, set goals and achieving them through a transformative, strengths-based approach. With Consulting, I act as the bridge between business and community or business and school, putting my educator’s eye and project-based, personalized practices on the table and on the product. With Connections, it’s about helping youth develop the strategies and practices they may be seeking to find balance and breath in the heart, mind, and body, to successfully work towards their goals.
Happy to be here, and thank you for visiting this space. Looking forward to building together.
